Lola Storry Counselling

About

I care deeply about each person that I have the honour to work with. My work is rooted in the belief that we are all capable of healing and finding more comfort and safety in our everyday life.

I have earned my Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor in the Province of BC. Additionally, I bring 10+ years of experience in working with survivors of trauma and abuse in the non-profit sector. I have successfully completed training to qualify as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and regularly participate in learning opportunities that allow me to hone my clinical skills.

My commitment to this work is influenced by my own journey toward healing. I understand the courage that it takes to ask for support - and the relief that exists when we begin to move toward peace.

I am grateful for the opportunity to live and work on the traditional territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən (Lekwungen) peoples - in particular, T’Sou-ke, W̱SÁNEĆ, Esquimalt, Songhees and Sc'ianew Nations. As a therapist, I acknowledge there is an ethical responsibility for helping professionals to participate in dismantling oppressive systems and decolonizing the therapeutic relationship.
